Olivia Palermo

Many of you may know her as the snobby chick in MTV's reality TV show, The City. Although she wasn't favored much in the show, her impeccable style has become a legend and to my knowledge, she is one of the best dressed and fashionable individuals out there. She incorporates simple garments and delivers a polished couture making her a fashion icon. She has perfected the art of casual elegance like the fashion world has never seen before.

Pretty Pleasures

Godiva Chocolate Bars - my favorite blend of Milk Chocolate with Caramel

Here are few snippets of things I am currently appreciating. I'm calling this series as Pretty Pleasures as they hold true to its name. As some may know, I have a slight obsession with chocolate and will devour it as soon as I smell it. Having a four-day weekend is another thing I am unconditionally embracing - I'm thankful our company gave us the day off to recharge few brain cells. Hoping you're finding few pleasures to be grateful for!

Happy Independence Day!

The 4th of July is here and with that we have gone through half of the year already. Time seems to pass a lot more quickly when not in school and it leaves me to question what I have done the past 6 months. As everyone makes New Years Resolutions at the beginning of the year, have any of them really gone through? I bet only about 5% can say yes to that. Well, it's never too late to start and even 6 months can make all the difference in the world.

So in honor of America's beloved Independence Day, Chicago Tribune has gathered the hot spots for today's fireworks, parades, and festivals. I, myself, will be attending the Rib Fest in Naperville, Illinois.

What are your plans for the 4th?

Being Indian has its tremendous benefits when it comes to food, culture, and most of all fashion (in my perspective at least). Unlike here in America where any ordinary person knows about Chanel or Gucci, Indian designers are only primarily known to Bollywood actors. Two of the most reputable fashion houses include Shyamal & Bhumika and Manish Malhotra. Though there are a lot more out there, these two designers clothe the stars on the red carpet the most. Above, I have compiled some of the finest garments they have tailored.
