Pretty Pleasures

               - A fun new online magazine called, Couture goes Corporate for which I contribute to occasionally -

Right when I had put my winter coats to rest, the frigid air (with snow!) came back to Chicago this week. Though I'm not too happy about the temperature dropping again, I know that summer is not too far away and that gives me a glimmer of hope. Here are few simple things that bring back pleasant memories from the past few months! Enjoy!

Designer Spotlight: Diane Von Furstenberg

In 1972

One of the many things I didn't know about Diane Von Furstenberg is that she was a German Princess for three years! This easily explains her niche for the classic and sophisticated wrap dress that has paved its way for generations since 1972. Although I'm not a huge print fanatic, the colorful floral and geometrical patterns add a chic touch to the dress' long sleeve, knee-length style. This is a timeless piece that can be dressed up or down effortlessly. Now with her House of DVF show on TV, the wrap dresses and other designs are becoming even more popular. Here are few of my favorite wrap dresses right now, one of which I hope to get my hands on soon!

Fall-Winter 2015 Fashion Week Recap

The last round of fashion week has just wrapped up in Paris and with that, I wanted to present few of my favorite looks that came straight from this season's runway. Although, I usually don't have the time to rigorously follow the show schedules - thanks to Pinterest - I am able to browse through the coveted looks I find most suitable. Now, for those who are ready to place an order, Moda Operandi makes that early-bird shopping possible. Do you have any favorites?

March Madness

Cole Haan Coat, Gap Sweater, Zara Pants, BCBGeneration Booties (similar here), Bauble Bar earrings

Although it is March already and temperatures are still low, this year's winter definitely did not seem as brutal as last year's Polar Vortex. Perhaps it's the lack of snow storms that made this winter feel short, but either way, I'm ecstatic that spring is just around the corner. But while it's still frigid outside, here is a look into one of my favorite, staple winter looks composed of a wool coat, long turtle-neck sweater, and legging pants. (And yes, that is snow!)
